Qwick-Rate
1986 - present
www.qwickrate.com
In 1986 this product was the in-house information database developed to assist in brokering CDs and tracking their purchases for various Credit Union customers. After several years of refinement the product was introduced to the Credit Union industry directly, eliminating the need to work through and pay brokerage fees.
In about 1995 the banking industry began to realize the value of knowing what competing national rates for CDs were. Qwick-Rate became an alternative to funding through the FHLB or local Bankers Bank. In todays competitive environment over1500 banks and credit unions utilize this system to buy or sell CDs and control their liquidity costs more efficiently.
Qwick-Rate has become the industry standard for CD liquidity management. A remarkable track record of success through the initial introduction of modem communication, DOS to Windows conversion, 512k floppy drive to CD and from telephone to internet delivery. The software evolved to meet changing needs imposed by regulatory constraints.
