In the early stages of development of the NuStance philosophy – the LaSaglia art collection became the physical representation of the dynamic rules used to create and manage these companies. As an artist, Massaglia received a BS in Fashion Design & Merchandising. This emphasis transformed itself into a more grounded “object” based art at the turn of the century. Massaglia works with antique remnants to build new and interesting current day furniture. The furnishings have both function and form, use materials both old and new – designed to create interest and cause people to question and touch them.

Often times Massaglia will retrieve objects from a particular project site to incorporate in the art work for the finished area. During the Foundations Development project pieces from the old cook’s shack were reworked to create a mosaic race course play table for the lobby of the childcare center. Old wagon wheels become pot racks and tree stumps turn into faces beneath glass table tops.
